MTTAF - BJD

Hah! Acronyms!
Ahem, anyway....

PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE.
For Xmas, I bought myself one of these:
How in the heck I was managing without one, I don't know...

I got some gesso too, and have been working like a mad thing (or was working like a mad thing - I took a week off to visit the fambily...).

So this is where I was...

The first thing I did with my new power tool was to hack off her saggy breasts and give her a boob-job:
Her new found perkiness brought the flaws in her lower torso out, most noticeably that it was far too long.

So I did this...
Then I did this...

Cutting teh stuff iZ fun!!1!

She doesn't seem to mind though...
The gessoed surface is much softer-looking. Less psychotic.
And because I have only limited patience, she's already got her false eyelashes on (just tacked on though - I'm not completely stupid)
And SHE STANDS!!!
I wasn't expecting that I'd be able to make a freestanding doll!
OK, it takes a couple of minutes of careful adjustments and hovering hands, but once she's positioned just so she seems quite stable.

Hopefully I don't arse it up when I finish her ankle joints and feet.

Sweet. Its like Frankenstein's Monster - only far, far scarier.
